I can bring your circuit design into the real world by creating schematics and following
that up with a board layout.
Or I can do any part of the process that you can't do for yourself.
Communication is key: Most of my customers live in other cities. But I haven't
found it to be a problem. When I have questions about the design, I will call you. And if you
need to make changes after giving me your design to lay out, you can call me. Good communication
leads to good designs.
Experience: Over the past eighteen years, I have done every kind of design on rigid boards: Analog, digital, power, and RF.
I can do old fashioned through hole as well as the smallest BGA chips. I have the experience to advise on part selections
that will make the boards easier to manufacture.
Hand vs. Autorouting: My strength is hand routing complex multi-layer designs. On many designs, I have reduced layer count,
increased trace thickness, and increased trace spacing by taking an autorouted board and rerouting by hand. Hand routing from the start means
the best routing and the fewest vias.
Turnaround: When the engineer turns the design over to the layout designer, he wants it yesterday. I know that. My
turn around time is fast without sacrifice in quality.
